2008年初夏より、ヴォイン・パホインのハートをジャックしてきた黄金町バザール。第8弾となるVP黄金町出張では、公開インタビューマラソン、題して「ヴォインの部屋」を開催します。ヴォインが黄金町で出会った個性あふれる人々をご招待し、お饅頭を食べながら、バザールにまつわるお話を伺います。会場は、ある一人のジェントルマンが、住み込みで改修を続けている「ヤグチレジデンス」です。みなさま、この機会に黄金町に遊びにきてください。

We are pleased to announce the 8th installment of Voin Pahoin in Koganecho. Titled "Voin's Room", we are going to run a 4-hour interview marathon. For the day, we've invited several great individuals whom we met through the Koganecho Bazaar. The interviews will be held at an old bar where a gentleman lives in and renovates the space into a new artist studio. We look forward to seeing you in Koganecho.

二人のアーティスト、田添かおりと荘司美智子が黄金町バザールのために立ち上げた新ブランド/ユニットのクアドラド。10月のヴォインでは、クアドラドのお二人と野毛山公園にピクニックにでかけ、クアドラド・ブランドのスカーフの巻き方を実演で紹介していただきました。

Voin Pahoin collabored with a new artist unit / brand specialized in scarves. QUADRADO was initiated by Kaori Tazoe and Michiko Shoji specially for the Koganecho Bazaar. We invited them to a picnic to enjoy arts of scarves, tea, wine, muffins and sandwich.


QUADRADO / クアドラド
横浜を拠点に活動するふたりのアーティスト、田添かおりと荘司美智子が黄金町バザールのために結成したユニット。横浜の伝統的なシルク産業との連携、恊働作業によって、横浜の歴史と植物にまつわるプロジェクトを始動し、作品はショップ形式でも販売される。

Quadrado is an artist unit, formed specially for Koganecho Bazaar by two Yokohama based artist, Kaori Tazoe and Michiko Shoji. They will produce traditional silk artworks that weave together elements from Yokohama's past with images of plant life.

2008年10 月12 日に山本篤さんによる撮影会が行われ、「黄金町バザール会場内全域を参加者84 名がバトンリレーで繋ぐ」という作品が完成しました。VPでは、山本さんと参加者のみなさまと祝杯をあげる会を催しました。本作品は11月30日まで黄金町バザールで上映中です。ぜひ、黄金町に足をお運び下さい。

この作品を思いついたきっかけは、この「黄金町バザール」の中でいきいきと働く黄金町バザールスタッフ・サポーターの皆さんの姿を間近に見たことでした。

変わりゆく町に点在する会場を、シフトをきっちり組んで皆で運営して行く在り方そのものが「リレー走」のように思えたのです。

何度か足を運ぶうち、「黄金町バザール」というムーヴメント、そこに関わる人達や会場でもある「今」を記録する必要性を感じました。撮影に参加する人すべてに、この町で共通の「記憶」をつくれるのではないかと構想を練る中で、「リレー」の走者は運営側や町の人のみならず、黄金町バザール来場者にまで広がりました。
結果、当日は数時間の撮影にもかかわらず、84 人もの方々にご協力いただきました。

今回の映像作品では、この「リレー走」を繰り返し上映し、ずっとバトンを繋いで走り続けるように編集しています。これは、どこから見始めても、今この瞬間にも走り続ける黄金町バザールの姿を想起してもらえるように、また「人の思いや動きに終わりはない」というメッセージを含んでいます。普通の「リレー競争」にゴールはありますが、常に変化し続ける町の姿にゴールは存在しません。

この作品が、ご来場者を初め、プロジェクトに関わるすべての方々を少しでも勇気づけ、そしてもっと多くの人にとっても、初黄・日ノ出町を巡る動きへの興味につながればと考えています。

黄金町出張企画第4弾「山本篤と高橋ビルをルームジャッ ク！」では、住人の齋藤一樹さんの協力で、黄金町バザールの宿泊施設である高橋ビルの303号室をルームジャックしました。

ヴォイン・パホインのアパートで撮影された映像作品「家から出られないDJ」（仮称）、浴室を洞窟に見立てたインスタレーションの他、数点が公開されました。屋上での30分耐久パフォーマンス「ワッショイ・エクササイズ」（仮称）では、材木をかついだ筋トレが披露されました。見物客も巻き込んで「ワッショイ」のかけ声が黄金町に響き渡る素敵な一夜となりました。

ジャッキーと平松さんによる「ラヴ・タコス」も振る舞われました！

For the VP vol.4 in Koganecho, we collaborated with an artist Atsushi Yamamoto. Thanks to Kazuki Saito, resident of Takahashi Building in Koganecho, we held a solo exhibition of Atsushi Yamamoto in an apartment.

A newly made video work "I'm the DJ - can never leave home" was on view along with his previous video works. The bathroom was turned into a cave of ancient and contemporary graffiti. On the rooftop, he also performed a 30-minute long wasshoi exercise.

Atsushi Yamamoto explores psychological strains of everyday life. His work simultaneously contains a sense of humor and violence - what is he reacting to? It's not about any specific targets but rather about the relationship between desire and frustration that we all struggle with.

山野真悟が選ぶ『この一本』
Shingo Yamano's pick of the best B-movies



黄金町出張第３弾では、キュレイターの山野真悟さんをお迎えし、
B級映画についてのレクチャーと、山野さんオススメの一本「荒野の用心棒」の上映会を開催しました。
本作品は、「作ったときにはB級だったのに、歴史に名を残してしまった」というビギナーにもってこいの作品だそうです。
また、ヴォイン初の試みとして、参加者みなさまに「私の一品」をお持ち頂き、いつものヴォイン・パホインとは一味違うテイストの一夜となりました。

For the 3rd installment of Voin Pahoin in Koganecho, we invited a curator, Shingo Yamano as the guest of the month.
He gave a lecture on B-movies and screened "Per un pungno di dollari." According to Mr. Yamano, this movie was originally made as a B-movie, but it ended up leaving its name in movie history. It's a perfect introduction to the world of B-movie."
Everyone brought food and drink to share. It was a such a relaxing night.

幼少の頃はSFマニア。こつこつとフィギュアを集めていたが、次第にマカロニウェスタンのサウンドトラック、そしてDVDへとコレクションは広がっていた。そんなとき「もっとひどい映画」があることに気づく。以前は手に入らなかった映画も廉価版で入手し、現在、約100本のB級映画をコレクションしている。B級映画のリサーチは一日たりとも欠かしたことがない。


As a child he was a big fan of SF movies. His collection began with SF dolls, and stretched out to soundtracks and DVD's of Macaroni Western. One day he found "even worse movies." Today, his collection houses over 100 B-movies. While he is having no day offs at the Koganecho Bazaar, he never slacks off the search for B-movies.
